I’m on holiday right now

What You Need to Know

If your booking included flights, your return tickets are still valid.

If your booking included accommodation, you may be asked by the hotel to pay them locally before you depart. You should be able to reclaim this (see below).

In some cases airport transfers / taxis may need to be paid locally.

Car parking (if booked) may need to be paid locally.

I’m travelling in the next 7 days

Flights – if you have airline flight tickets you will be able to travel as normal. If not you will need to check with the airline directly and may need to purchase new flights.

Accommodation / In Resort Transfers – unfortunately your reservations will no longer be valid and you will need to re-book.

Car Parking / Other Services – unfortunately your reservations will no longer be valid and you will need to re-book.

I’m due to travel within 30 days

Suppliers & general creditors

What You Need to Know

Smith & Williamson LLP, jointly with CMB Partners UK Ltd have been appointed as administrators over the UK group entities with effect from 15 July 2016. 

LCTG is no longer trading so there is no possibility of contacting the company. If you need to process a claim against LCTG (or any of its companies or brands) please contact lowcosttravelspain@smith.williamson.co.uk with details of your claim – contact can only be made via email.

 

How to reclaim costs you incur

In all cases we strongly advise you to keep all receipts of expenses incurred in order to claim a refund or compensation. You should also register your claim with the administrators by e-mailing lowcosttravelspain@smith.williamson.co.uk

Travel Insurance

Depending on your policy you may be able to make a claim for any additional costs.

Unfortunately, not all policies include ‘operator failure’ cover so you will need to check your policy documents.

Credit/Debit Card Protection

If your holiday cost over £100 per person and you made any payment (however small) by Credit Card then you can make a claim.

Regulator (Flight + Hotel Bookings)

As lowcostholidays was based in Spain, UK ABTA/ATOL protection does not apply.

Spain does however have it’s own regulator, Govern de les illes Balears from whom you may be able to make a claim.
